All eyes will be on US August CPI

Tomorrow the US Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), delivers the CPI for August in the United States. Why this figure is so importante this time?. The FED uses the inflation of the PCE Price Index, however this figure is delivered by the Department of Commerce with more than 1 month delay.

Since both CPI and PCE Price Index go together (for obvious reasons), the market will be specially thoughtful to this number to have a sense of what the FED might do at his FOMC meeting next week regarding monetary policy (Tapering and MPR expectations).

PCE and CPI annual inflation for the United States last 5 years
